Cho Yung Plus Review
Cho Yung Plus is a member of the alternative medicinal practice known as ‘colon cleansing’. This branch of medicine believes that waste builds up in the intestines and colon, which can harbour the development of various infections, by removing these particles of waste the body, can be at its healthiest. Unfortunately, the scientific community have so far discovered no evidence to support these claims and say that these beliefs are ‘outdated’. The problem is that the body is a very efficient organic machine and any waste that resides in the intestines will be cleared out naturally. There is also evidence to suggest that colon cleansing may actually increase the likelihood of intestinal infections occurring.
Claimed weight loss benefits
According to the official website there are five main benefits when Cho Yung Plus is taken, these are:
1. Reduction in appetite
2. Eliminates toxins
3. Boosts immune system
4. Increases phytoestrogens
5. Reduce LDL cholesterol
It is hard to see how this product will reduce appetite as only one or two ingredients have a specific link to appetite suppression, in addition, the scientific information available for these two ingredients is not exactly supportive of the alleged effectiveness. The product may well be effective at eliminating toxins, however this is a job already performed by the body’s digestive system and as such it is difficult to see any added benefits the product can bring. Similarly, the product does contain one or two ingredients which allegedly help increase immune function although the amounts of these ingredients are quite low which means you are unlikely to see/feel any noticeable benefits. You may also be asking what is a phytoestrogen? Phytoestrogen is exactly the same as the oestrogen hormone found in females; the only difference is that phytoestrogen is found in plants rather than humans or animals. The alleged benefit of phytoestrogen is that it can help reduce the risk of various cancers in both men and women; however, there are numerous scientific studies, which both support and deny this claim. In any case, it is unlikely that this product will play any sort of cancer preventing role due to the quantities of its ingredients. The same can said for reducing LDL cholesterol. While the ingredients included certainly have the potential to reduce LDL cholesterol, the quantities of each ingredient are too small to provide tangible benefits.

How Cho Yung Plus Works
Cho Yung Plus advertises itself as a ‘colon cleanser’, which is a fancy term for a glorified laxative. Colon cleansing is a popular member of the alternative medicine branch of therapies. It involves ridding the body of excess waste and non-specific toxins from the intestinal tract and the colon itself hence the name. The practice has become extremely popular over the last few years due in part to celebrity endorsements and inclusion in magazines tailored for women. The belief held among practitioners of this form of alternative medicine believe that over time the colon builds up waste which can foster the growth of parasites and bacteria which can lead to poor health and illnesses. These beliefs are built upon those outlined by the Ancient Greeks but have since been proved incorrect by modern day scientific research. If you wish to read more into the issues, and why colon cleansing does not work then feel free to read any one of these articles.

Key Cho Yung Plus Ingredients
Cho Yung Plus contains a total of thirteen ingredients, the majority of which have not had sufficient scientific evidence to claim they work as advertised.
The first ingredient that does have some scientific backing is Psyllium Husk Powder; this particular ingredient is the most prominent ingredient in the product with a concentration of 150mg. An experiment conducted by Ashraf et al (2007) discovered that the ingredient increased stool frequency, stool weight and improved stool consistency after an eight week exposure period to psyllium supplementation. While there are no tangible health benefits, it would appear that psyllium does increase the amount of material excreted by the body, which is the overall aim of a colon-cleansing supplement.
Citrus Pectin is another ingredient in Cho Yung Plus, which has some scientific history behind it possible making it more viable. A study conducted by Kay (1977) used 15g of citrus pectin supplementation per day for a three week period. The results suggested that the levels of excreted fat rose by 44% in comparison to a control condition.
The final ingredient in Cho Yung Plus is cayenne pepper extract. Cayenne pepper extract is claimed to have a thermogenic effect on the body. For more information on the weight loss effects of cayenne pepper, we recommend you read our Capsicum article.

|Weight Loss Power:||20/100|
As colon cleansers are branded in the alternative medicine category then there is little hope that significant weight loss will occur, this is especially true of colon cleansers. As the product is essentially mimicking what the body does naturally then no significant changes can possibly occur. After taking this product you may well feel better, but you will not lose significant amounts of weight if any.
|Speed of results:||20/100|
As this product is essentially a laxative then you should begin to see results almost immediately. This is certainly a product where you will most likely feel the effects of the product a long time before you begin seeing them. Laxatives are generally very fast acting products and this particular product has no reason to be different.
This product is not intended for use as an appetite suppressant. It does have a couple of ingredients, which are high in fibre or delay the release of glucose but even so, this product is very unlikely to curb your appetite.
|Long Term Results:||15/100|
As with the majority of health products, the effectiveness of the product decreases in proportion to the duration of time you continue to take the product. This is because the body will build up a tolerance to the ingredients. If you were to adopt a cyclical approach to taking a product such as Cho Yung Plus it may be more beneficial to take the product over say a couple of months and then have a break of an equal or very similar break. See our top rated diet pills.
This product is generally a safe product to use, however due to its laxative nature you may encounter some side effects if you are sensitive to these types of products. Prolonged exposure to the product has shown to be a problem although the quantity of each ingredient is not large enough to warrant any concern. Having said this, colon cleansing over such a long period of time will invariably result in some form of intestinal damage or irritation so use wisely and only for short durations of time.
|Value for money:||60/100|
If it wasn’t for the EBay offer of £15.95 for a one month supply then this product would be a fairly middle of the range product in terms of pricing, although scientific evidence would suggest it is still overpriced for the minimal benefits it can provide. At the aforementioned £15.95, the product is ideal for a trial run to see how the product affects you. As the number of items you buy increases it becomes slightly less value for money, although if you have enough faith in the product to buy six months or a year’s worth of the product then price is probably not an issue for you.
Cho Yung Plus Side Effects
As the product is intended as a ‘colon cleanser’ then you should prepare yourself to possibly have to experience digestive related side effects. Such side effects can include nausea, bloating, cramping and vomiting. There are more serious concerns that prolonged use of ‘colon cleansers’ can lead to an increased risk of dehydration, bowel perforations, an increased risk of infection and an increase in the risk of worsening of existing medical conditions such as kidney diseases. The majority of these side effects can be mitigated against by drinking plenty of water and making sure you have a balanced diet. If you are currently on medication then seek the advice of a doctor who will be able to tell you if colon cleansing is a safe practice for you to engage in.

Where to Buy Cho Yung Plus
While the official website does sell the product, you can get the product cheaper if you search for it on EBay. However, there is not quite the range of choice that is available on the official website. The one-month supply is currently listed at £15.95 with free delivery; this is a tremendous saving of £14 in comparison to the official website. This particular listing is being offered by a seller called little-style who has a 99.8% confidence rating, this indicates the seller is a legitimate seller and so it is recommended that you take advantage of this deal while the stock lasts.
For those who like to buy in bulk there are many offers on both EBay and the official website.
Cho Yung Plus is marketed as a colon-cleansing product, the field of alternative medicine, of which colon cleansing is categorised as, is becoming increasingly popular due in part to celebrity endorsements and coverage in mainstream media. The scientific community at large have questioned the need for colon cleansers as it is based on an outdated belief that parasites can be harboured in leftover waste. The fact is that the body is a very efficient machine and will clear out any waste products that do not belong. As such, colon cleansers have the potential to cause as much harm as good. This particular product contains a lot of ingredients which either have no scientific backing or have been subject to some very tentative research with no clear beneficial results. Having said that, the product does contain three ingredients, which have proven to be effective in a laboratory environment. As the product is a laxative, it has the potential to cause digestive distress but beyond this, there are no more dangerous side effects that you should be wary of if used sensibly. If you are taking medication then it would be wise to consult your doctor before taking the product as it has the potential to reduce the effectiveness of certain prescriptions.
