Mighty Raspberry Ketone Review

Mighty Raspberry Ketone is one of many raspberry ketone based weight loss capsules currently on the market. The manufacturer’s website cannot be found online, and it is only available through websites such as eBay and Amazon. Some customer reviews for the product say that the contents of the order were not as expected, and some customers report never having received the product at all. The manufacturer’s very unprofessional online presence suggests that the company that produces it is not particularly reputable. While raspberry ketone is not believed to have any severe side effects, not enough medical research has been undertaken to prove its safety in large doses.

Mighty Raspberry Ketone Claimed weight loss benefits

Mighty Raspberry Ketone’s supposed weight loss benefits come from the supplement’s sole ingredient, raspberry ketone, which has been the subject of much discussion in the medical community in recent years. Many believe raspberry ketone is an effective metabolism booster that helps the user to burn energy at an accelerated rate thanks to its high levels of norepinephrine, a blood thickener that works similarly to adrenaline within the body. This belief is not supported by clinical evidence or successful human trials, and many medical professionals are wary because not all potential side effects have been thoroughly investigated.

How Mighty Raspberry Ketone Works

Mighty Raspberry Ketone only contains one active ingredient: raspberry ketone. As such, while many other diet pills on the market contain several ingredients in an attempt to increase success, the only weight loss benefits that the supplement may hold come from this single source. Other substances on the product’s ingredient list are there purely as part of the process of producing a tablet – things like the pill casing and a binding agent for the raspberry ketone. These are universally used in all tablets and pills of all varieties and will neither harm nor help the body’s weight loss process.

Raspberry Ketone

Believed by some to have metabolism boosting properties, raspberry ketone is a common ingredient in many diet pills. Raspberry ketone is believed to be effective in aiding the breakdown of fat in the body, because it contains a substance called norepinephrine. Norepinephrine works in the body in a similar way to adrenaline – it narrows or constricts blood vessels to increase blood pressure and blood glucose levels. This has the effect of speeding up metabolism as the body works faster to burn up energy as a result. Norepinephrine also breaks down the fat stores in fat cells called adipocytes, and helps the body to reduce its fat stores at a greater speed.

The medical community’s opinion of raspberry ketone as a weight loss substance is undecided as to its practical benefits. The supplement gained popularity after a 2012 episode of US television show The Dr Oz Show, which called raspberry ketone ‘the number 1 miracle in a bottle’. Since then raspberry ketone has been a regular ingredient in many diet pills. However, scientific research does not support the claims made by Dr Oz as clinical trials of the supplement have not been able to prove that regularly taking raspberry ketone has any lasting effect on the user’s weight. While some animal tests have shown limited weight loss as a result of raspberry ketone, these results cannot be generalised to humans and involve taking doses far larger than are contained in capsule supplements.

Key Ingredients

Raspberry Ketones
Mighty Raspberry Ketone’s sole active ingredient is raspberry ketone. This is a common ingredient in diet pills as it is believed to possess metabolism boosting qualities. All other ingredients in the pill are for the purpose of creating a pill that is easy to swallow, and include ingredients for the pill casing and binding agents to keep the supplement from dissolving. These are common in all pills and supplements.

Raspberry Ketone

Raspberry ketone comes from the common red raspberry, a fruit which is eaten in many parts of the world and which is known for its particularly sharp taste. Raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, and are used by some people as a treatment for hair loss. While in rare cases some people are allergic to raspberries, for the majority of the population there are no negative side effects associated with the fruit – that said, not a lot of research has been done into raspberry ketone, and not all potential side effects have been studied in depth.

Clinical Studies

Clinical Researcher 538
Mighty Raspberry Ketone has not been the subject of its own specific clinical trial. That said, there have been some limited studies into the effects of raspberry ketone on weight loss. While some medical professionals support claims that raspberry ketone is an excellent weight loss aid, proper clinical trials are used by the scientific community as legitimate proof in a medical theory. A clinical trial is conducted under a rigorous and carefully controlled procedure, in an isolated environment, with the aim of producing results that can be replicated and generalised. Clinical trials are designed to avoid bias, either through the accidental skewing of data or through the misinterpretation of results.

Raspberry Ketone

Raspberry ketone is a relatively recent addition to most diet pills and as such there has not yet been sufficient time to fully analyse its potential weight loss benefits. Some few studies have shown raspberry ketone to have some effect, although the most highly regarded of these were conducted on animals rather than humans.

One study, conducted in 2005, examined raspberry ketone’s effectiveness at combating obesity in mice. In the experiment, mice were fed a high fat diet over a period of ten weeks in order to produce fast weight gain. The mice were separated into groups, with different groups of mice received various doses of raspberry ketone alongside their food – some received smaller doses of raspberry ketone while others received larger doses. At the end of the ten-week period, a new regimen began wherein the mice were fed the same high fat diet, but all were given the highest dose of raspberry ketone alongside it. This continued for an additional five weeks. The mice were regularly weighed and measured throughout the trial in order to monitor what difference, if any, the raspberry ketone in their diets had on the effects of obesity.

Over the course of the study, it was found that the mice who were given the highest doses of raspberry ketone on average gained less weight than mice who were given smaller doses. The mice who were given the most raspberry ketone were also less likely to suffer from additional symptoms of obesity such as fatty liver. Once the initial ten-week period had elapsed and all mice were given the higher dosage of raspberry ketone, it was found that the mice who had previously been given smaller doses began to experience a reversal, losing weight and beginning to recover from the effects of obesity that they had previously felt.

The study concluded that raspberry ketone does have some benefits to combating obesity in mice. However, while these results are the primary motivating force behind the current raspberry ketone support argument, it is important to note that these results have not been replicated in humans, and also cannot be generalised to include humans. What’s more, in the experiment, the mice who benefited the most were those who were consuming raspberry ketone that made up around 1% of their daily food intake – this is far more than is contained in Mighty Raspberry Ketone capsules, and also far above the recommended dosage for any food supplement.

Weight Loss Power: 20/100

Very little clinical evidence exists to support the belief that raspberry ketone is influential in aiding weight loss in humans. While some users of Mighty Raspberry Ketone may experience weight loss, this will likely be due more to the placebo effect and the user’s diet and exercise patterns rather than the supplement itself.
Speed of results: 10/100

Clinical studies into raspberry ketone’s weight loss benefits to mice has shown that any weight loss achieved through use of the supplement is gradual at best – what’s more, as mice have a much faster metabolic rate than humans naturally, should a human user of raspberry ketone experience any weight loss as a result of the supplement, it should take even longer for the effects to be noted.
Appetite Suppression: 20/100

Mighty Raspberry Ketone is not designed as an appetite suppressant and as such, users cannot expect that it will have this effect. What small amount of vitamin C and antioxidant exists in the supplement may have some marginal benefit to appetite suppression, but it is unlikely that the supplement will have any effect whatsoever.
Long Term Results: 20/100

In a clinical trial, raspberry ketone has been shown to be effective at combating obesity in mice up to fifteen weeks after initially beginning use, but no data exists for its effectiveness beyond this point, and this data cannot be generalised to make any concrete supposition about human use. Without solid scientific evidence, it should not be expected that any weight loss effects raspberry ketone may have will extend for a long period of time.
Safety: 30/100

Raspberries are eaten all over the world without serious side effects, and raspberry ketone is generally considered to be free from side effects. That said, those who have an allergy to raspberries ought to avoid raspberry ketone supplements, and pregnant or breastfeeding mothers should consult a doctor or pharmacist. As not a lot of human trials have been attempted on raspberry ketones, a full list of potential side effects does not currently exist. Due to the lack of clinical evidence regarding the safety of raspberry ketones, supplements containing them are currently banned in the UK and Europe.
Value for money: 25/100

A month’s supply of Mighty Raspberry Ketone costs under £10, which would be excellent value should there be any scientific evidence to support the primary ingredient’s effectiveness as a weight loss supplement. It should also be taken into account that some customer reviews report having been deceived by some vendors, either being unsatisfied by the quality of the product upon arrival, or in some cases never actually receiving their product when ordering online.

Mighty Raspberry Ketone Side Effects

Woman With Stomach Ache 538
While information on the Mighty Raspberry Ketone brand of supplements is limited, there are no known side effects related to the product – its sole ingredient is generally considered relatively safe, and as such most users of this supplement should not experience any adverse effects. There are no customer reviews online that suggest that users had a negative reaction to the pills. That said, pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before taking any tablets as there may be a risk to the baby, and those on heavy medication are also advised to play it safe and seek the advice of a doctor or pharmacist to avoid an adverse reaction.

Raspberry Ketone

Raspberries are widely eaten in many parts of the planet, and are particularly enjoyed as a seasonal summer fruit throughout the northern hemisphere. As such, it should come as no great surprise that raspberry ketone, which is extracted from raspberries, is not known to have any serious side effects. It is possible that in very rare cases, users who have an existing allergy to raspberries or other similar fruits may experience negative effects in accordance with their fruit allergy. Effects such as a swelling of the mouth or throat, skin rashes or hives have occasionally been reported.

Norepinephrine, one chemical present in raspberry ketone that is considered to have vast weight loss benefits, acts similarly to adrenaline in the body. It tightens blood vessels and increases both blood pressure and blood glucose levels. As such, high levels of norepinephrine are not recommended for those with heart disease or diabetes, and as norepinephrine is known to cause hypertension, it is also not suitable in high doses for those suffering from hyperthyroidism. That said, the amount of norepinephrine contained within a raspberry ketone supplement is unlikely to cause harm, but there is currently a lack of clinical evidence to prove that raspberry ketone is entirely harmless.

As not much clinical research into raspberry ketone has been conducted, a full list of the potential side effects does not currently exist. While there have been very few reports of dangerous reactions to raspberry ketone supplements, in the interest of public safety the Food Standards Agency has labelled raspberry ketone a ‘novel food’ – a food that does not have a sufficient history of consumption, and one that cannot be guaranteed safe. As a result of this decision, some forms of raspberry ketone (but not all) are currently banned in the UK and Europe, to ensure that should there be any negative side effects of these supplements, they do not cause harm to the populace.

How To Use

Woman With Pills 538
Users are advised to take two 150mg capsules of Mighty Raspberry Ketone every day, although there is no guidance available as to when during the day they should be taken, and whether or not it should be on an empty stomach.

While raspberry ketone is not thought to have any serious side effects, some groups should take particular care when using this product, as they should when using any supplement that has not been prescribed. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should take care with any and all supplements or medicines to avoid inadvertently causing harm to the child, and should seek the advice of a medical professional such as a doctor or pharmacist before taking this supplement. Similarly, those who are highly medicated should seek a doctor’s advice before taking any supplement to avoid the risk of two medications or supplements reacting to one another.

Who Makes Mighty Raspberry Ketone

Very little information is currently available about the manufacturers of Mighty Raspberry Ketone. While the product does have a website, it contains very little information regarding where the product comes from or who makes it. The UK version of the site features an address for returns that is based in Italy, while the international version of the site instead features an address in the UK for Down Range Ltd, a shell company that has previously been related to scam product. The only consistent address on all region versions of the website is a return address in Salt Lake City in the United States.

A Facebook page and a Wiki site exist for the product. However, none of these sites contain any information as to the company that manufactures the product. One customer review for an Amazon order reports that when two bottles were ordered, both contained different types of tablets and originated from different countries.

Where To Buy

While it is possible to order from the ‘’ website, users do so at their own risk. One bottle of sixty tablets currently costs £40.32 from this site, which is far more than the same product costs elsewhere, and there are serious concerns as to the legitimacy of the site. Ordering directly from any website that claims to be the official site for Mighty Raspberry Ketone is not advised, as there is a chance of scam websites existing for this product.

Potential customers are far safer ordering from third party websites that offer a greater degree of security. Sixty capsules are available on Amazon for £3.50 with free delivery on orders over £10. Amazon offers a guarantee that the buyer will receive the product, even though this particular product is sold through Amazon by another company. Customer reviews indicate that the product is actually received when ordered this way. Another alternative is ordering from eBay, where a variety of options are available including three bottles for £8 or nine bottles for £16.

Overall Verdict

Mighty Raspberry Ketone does not vary in any way from an abundance of other raspberry ketone based weight loss supplements currently available. Its sole ingredient has not been proven successful in human trials, although a successful study into its effects on mice is commonly held up as proof of its metabolism boosting power. The supplement does not come with any serious health warnings, although pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a medical professional, and those with fruit allergies may wish to be extra cautious. The company that produces Mighty Raspberry Ketone is not forthcoming with information about itself, and users run the risk of buying into a scam product.
