Vysera CLS is a weight loss product that claims it is a miracle pill; a fairly bold claim to make considering there is no such thing as a miracle diet pill. When you take a brief glance at the website, it’s immediately clear that the website uses powerful selling language rather than any information about how the product actually works.
Below we have reviewed Vysera CLS against our review criteria to help consumers make an informed decision.
Vysera CLS Pros
- Low risk of side effects
- Contact phone number displayed on website
- A ‘preferred customer plan’ (automatic billing system) is heavily promoted
- Very expensive compared to other products (£62.12 per month)
Vysera CLS Review
The website claims that Vysera CLS can reshape your whole body within 30 days thanks to a ‘new compound’ that can magically rid you of fat.
The website also claims that the product is supported by a research paper published in the British Journal of Nutrition stating that the compound reduced the levels of the hormone ghrelin; the hormone responsible for the hunger response.
Interestingly this study is not cited anywhere on the site and therefore this makes it impossible to determine its authenticity. The way in which this apparent study is worded on the website is also very general, meaning that there could be a multitude of studies being referred to.
Additionally, a search for the term ‘Vysera CLS’ in the British Journal of Nutrition resulted in no success. The website is essentially a whole page of dedicated sales pitching.
Claimed weight loss benefits
The official website claims that Vysera CLS works as a fat burner and an appetite suppressant. However, we were not able to find any clinical studies relating to the ingredients to back up these claims.
How Vysera CLS Works
The product’s proprietary blend contains five ingredients in total. Four of these are amino acids and the fifth is an ingredient used to treat Paracetamol overdoses. Of the four amino acids, only one is considered an ‘essential’ amino acid, but what exactly does this mean?
Amino acids and proteins are the building blocks of life. Amino acids are organic compounds that combine to form proteins, and conversely when proteins are digested or broken down, amino acids are released.
Amino acids are classified into three groups:
– Essential amino acids
– Nonessential amino acids
– Conditional amino acids
Essential amino acids
The body cannot make essential amino acids. As a result, they must come from food. There are nine essential amino acids, which are: histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine.
Nonessential amino acids
“Nonessential” means that our bodies produce an amino acid, even if we don’t get it from the food we eat. They include: alanine, asparagine, aspartic acid, and glutamic acid.
Conditional amino acids
Conditional amino acids are usually not essential, except in times of illness and stress. They include: arginine, cysteine, glutamine, tyrosine, glycine, ornithine, proline, and serine.
You do not need to consume essential and nonessential amino acids at every meal, but getting a balance of them over the whole day is important.
The Vysera CLS product contains one essential amino acid, one non-essential amino acid and two conditional amino acids. Amino acids are not associated with weight loss and the amino acids contains in Vysera CLS are not health essential.
Key Vysera CLS Ingredients
The first ingredient to contribute to the makeup of the Vysera CLS proprietary blend is an amino acid called I-Lysine hcl. According to drugs.com, in addition to its vital role in building protein molecules, it is also involved in improving calcium absorption, antibody production and hormone production.
The second ingredient is L-Arginine; this is also an amino acid. This particular amino acid is involved with cell division, tissue repair and ammonia removal. Unless you have some kind of Arginine deficiency, then you will naturally produce enough Arginine without the need for supplementation, which renders this ingredient less useful than the first ingredient.
The third ingredient is Pyroglutamic acid, this ingredient is yet another amino acid, which has only one known function, this function is to retain moisture in the skin layers preventing dry skin and flakiness. This ingredient has absolutely no links to weight loss.
The fourth ingredient is called N-Acetyl I-Cysteine (Acetyl Cysteine). Its primary use is for the management of Paracetamol overdose. While this ingredient is not immediately dangerous to your health, there was a study conducted by Palmer et al (2007) where mice were exposed to large doses of Acetyl Cysteine. Results found that damage to the heart and lungs quickly followed, although this was not fatal to the mice. While this product only contains very small amounts of this ingredient, you should still exercise caution and possibly consult your doctor before taking the product.
The final ingredient is I-Glutamine, which is yet another amino acid. This particular amino acid is the prime amino acid when it comes to protein breakdown and synthesis, which is why it is a popular supplement in bodybuilding products. Other advantages of this particular amino acid include assisting with the various functions of the kidneys and providing a source of energy alongside glucose.
Vysera CLS Clinical Studies
There does not appear to be any studies on Vysera CLS as a whole. We could not find a list of ingredients on the official website. The product picture was taken at such an angle that it was hard to read the ingredients on the label. However, with a bit of work on some imaging software we were able to decode the ingredients. All of the ingredients listed above comprise the Vysera CLS Proprietary Blend. We could not find any studies for the ingredients which linked them to weight loss benefits.
Vysera CLS Side Effects
The manufacturer does not offer any advice at all in regards to side effects. Four of the five ingredients are naturally produced by the body and so adding to this is unlikely to have any negative effects. The amount of each ingredient is very low and therefore further reduces the risk of side effects.
The only concern lies with the fourth ingredient which is Acetylcysteine, a study conducted by Palmer et al (2007) exposed mice to large doses of Acetyl Cysteine and found that damage to the heart and lungs quickly followed although this was not fatal to the mice. While this product only contains very small amounts of this ingredient, you should still exercise caution and possibly consult your doctor before taking the product.
How to use
The only instructions that could be found were to take one capsule, thirty minutes before a main carbohydrate meal, with 8 oz of water. Vysera CLS can be taken with up to two meals per day (one capsule 30 minutes before each meal). Do not exceed two tablets per day under any circumstances.
Who Makes it
Vysera CLS is a product that is sold by a company called Bremenn Clinical, which is based in the USA, unfortunately, there is no evidence of a location and the phone number offered is not assigned to a specific geographic location.
The Vysera CLS product however, appears to be manufactured by a company called Vysera Biomedical Ltd, which is a company, based in Galway, Ireland. This company publishes both their physical address and names of board members as well as contact email addresses and telephone numbers. The company has been in operation since 2005
Where to Buy Vysera CLS
Vysera CLS is available from a wide range of websites although you can only buy a month’s supply regardless of where you decide to buy the product from.
The official website offers two options should you wish to purchase the product; either the one off purchase option or something called a preferred customer plan option. The one off purchase will cost you $99 plus $6.95 for postage and packing, equivalent to £61.46 for the product and £4.31 for the postage and packing.
The second option available is the potentially controversial preferred customer plan. This option requires a standing order set up which means that you will automatically be billed $79.20 per month and in return, you will receive a new packet of Vysera CLS. This is the equivalent of paying out £49 per month. The problem with a payment plan of this nature is that you must contact the manufacturer to cancel the monthly payments.
Vysera CLS is also available from Amazon at a price of $78 although it does come with free shipping, which makes it slightly better for money than that offered by the manufacturer.
We also found a website called www.ulta.com which sells Vysera CLS. The total price is $99 with free postage and packing. The reason this specific website has been mentioned is because at the time of writing this article they offered a money back guarantee.
