XLS Medical Review

The manufacturers of XLS Medical Fat Binders claim that it can burn up to three times more fat than normal exercise alone which of course makes XLS medical sound like the miracle weight loss cure.

In the XLS Medical review below we examine these claims and look at whether XLS Medical can really help you lose weight and how the product compares with other competitor products.

XLS Medical Claimed Weight-Loss Benefits:

XLS Medical claims to have one of the four main weight loss factors: Fat Binding. Our experts agree this is a benefit of XLS Medical.

XLS medical fat binder contains a fibre complex made from the dried leaves of the prickly pear cactus, Litramine. These dried leaves are combined with various vitamins including: vitamin A, D3 and E-acetate.

How XLS Medical Fat Binder Works

XLS Medical PillsOnce you start taking the XLS pills, they interact with the fat that the dieter has eaten and create a fat-fibre complex, too large to pass through the wall of the small intestine. The fat-fibre complex is then naturally removed via the stool of the dieter. There shouldn’t be any noticeable differences in the bowel movements, although more water should be consumed in order to avoid constipation.

There are many groups of people for whom the pill is not recommended such as: those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those who have a low BMI or older people.

The company behind XLS Medical has launched a website called XLSrealstories.com which show cases the experience of 15 “ambassadors” who we understand are members of the public who have been incentivised to use XLS Medical and document their experiences. Given that XLS Medical control the website and have set it up for the purposes of increasing sales, we recommend you are cautious of the reviews on the site.

XLS Medicial Fat Binder Results

Weight Loss Power: 64/100

Fat binding is a nice attribute for a supplement, however, on its own – without any other of the key properties for diet pills – it isn’t going to work any wonders.
Speed of Results: 71/100

The pill starts binding your fat straight away. However, don’t convince yourself entirely that you’ll be losing pounds as fast as its marketers claim.
Appetite Suppression: 68/100

While it doesn’t have any actual appetite suppressing properties itself, this fact is counteracted because you’ll store less fat even if your diet remains the same.
Long-term Outcomes: 72/100

Since the pill is not accompanied by a diet plan, as soon as you stop using it you will lose all its benefits and run the risk of returning to your former weight. However, the weight you lose during your time using this product could give you the confidence you need to change your habits for the better.
Safety from Side Effects: 60/100

XLS medical comes with the risk of mild but still unpleasant side effects, namely to do with the bowels – see our article on XLS Medical Side-Effects.
Value for Money: 30/100

Being one of the most expensive supplements on the market and having only one weight loss property, it’s not difficult to see why XLS deserves such a low score in this area.

Side Effects of XLS Medicial Fat Binder

woman looking uncomfortableXLS Medical claims their fat binder is gentle with your body. However, consumers have reported side effects including bloating, constipation, stomach pain, flatulence, diarrhoea, headaches and even sickness. We examine these reported side effects and their possible causes in more detail in our article on XLS Medical side effects.

There are no diet pill scams associated with XLS Binder. The biggest financial risk you would take in buying this product would be if you found it to be useless and not worth the heavy price you paid for it.

Where to Buy XLS Medical

If you’re set on buying the product, we would recommend having a look at our guide to buying XLS Medical.

Does XLS Medical Work? – Overall Verdict

XLS Medical Fat Binder does have its merits. That said, we have to say it doesn’t quite get a thumbs up from us. Here’s why:

Firstly, the price: it’s just a fat binder; this is nothing new and nothing special. There are no indications showing it to be better than any of the other fat binders on the market and yet it’s 2-3 times the price of many of its competitors.

Secondly, the side effects: there is absolutely no need to take a weight loss product with side effects as some of the best and most effective slimming aids have none. So spare yourself the discomfort and find something that isn’t going to make life unpleasant.

Thirdly, the lack of customer proof: if a product is well known, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good product – after all TV advertising only requires money, not a good product. Discovering how good a product is ultimately comes down to reading independent reviews as well as real customer comments. From the feedback that we have had sent in, as well as the comments on the net we would say an approximation of the general consensus is that around 20% of people are happy with the product, 40% feel disappointed and a massive 40% feel they have been ripped off.

XLS Medical Direct Review

XLS Medical has now launched XLS Medical Direct, backed by a big TV advertising campaign. XLS Medical Fat Binder Direct sachets are very similar to XLS Medical Fat Binder. However, unlike XLS Medical Fat Binder which is taken in the form of pills, XLS Direct is taken as a powder straight in to your mouth without the need for water.

The apparent thinking behind coming in powder form is, that you will find the product easier to take. This review is still relevant for XLS Medical Direct, However, for more information, you can read our full XLS Medical Direct Review.

  1. Trace Barry says:

I tried a 10 day treatment of XLS medical andf had no results whatsoever!

    • Tiffany Blake says:

I’m glad to hear it’s not just me who didn’t find XLS effective. Has anyone had any luck asking for a refund?

  2. Genny H says:

I tried XLS Medical for a while with diet and exercise and it had no effect :/ would not recommend at all.

    • Robyn says:

Hi Genny, what kind of diet were you following? I’m surprised you didn’t at least lose some weight because of the diet if not xls?

  3. Tiffany Blake says:

I had been on a diet for a few weeks, losing a pretty steady pound or two a week, I purchased XLS Medical tablets to give me a bit of a boost. I carried on following my diet, taking the tablets alongside and they didn’t seem to make any difference at all. I think some weeks it may have even slowed me down. I’d taken them as directed but I found I lost less while I was taking them and on top of that felt like my stomach was bloated too. I would definitely not recommend them, in my opinion they’re a waste of money.

  4. Karl Lawrence says:

These pills started well for me, I lost about 5lbs in the first week. I took the pills, did a little more exercise and ate a little less. But then for the next few weeks I lost no more weight, despite still doing the exercise and slight diet. Bit disappointed and probably won’t be buying any more of them.

  5. Amy Herron says:

I must say I was really disappointed in these pills. I only wanted to lose about 6 or 7 pounds as I’m pretty healthy already but they didn’t do anything, not even for an already fairly fit person.
I believed the good reviews I’d read but they did nothing for me. I’m going to take long walks and fit in some more exercise instead, much cheaper and more effective option if you ask me!!

    • Paula says:

Amy, just wondering whether you had much weight to lose. You say you’re already a fit person but I must admit I had more to lose and these pills did work for me!
I wonder whether it might work on people with more to lose because I really found them quite effective and I’m going to continue to use them.
Sad to hear they didn’t work for you though.

  6. Philippa says:

I’ve been really happy with these pills, I have lost weight on them. I think they work best after fatty meals so my advice is eat lots of fatty foods.
I’m going to buy more I think.

  7. Hayley Lowers says:

These pills were fantastic! I’ve been trying to diet and searching for the right pill for five years now but these tablets have worked wonders….25lbs in 4 months!!
I personally take 1 at breakfast, 2 at lunch and 3 after dinner because I believe they prevent fat going into your body and instead pass it out of your body. So I take 3 after dinner as its the most fatty meal.
I’d suggest you set a reminder to take the pills because if you miss any then the whole day is wasted. I’d also recommend you drink plenty of water because of the high fibre content.
Give them 2 weeks to get going but once they do you’ll really notice the difference. I happily recommend them!!

    • sonya says:

      Hi Hayley.
      Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I just bought a 10 day supply of this tablets because i wanted to try them.
I weight 73.5 kg and i am 169 cm tall.I have my thyroid glands removed and is so hard for me to loose weight.
I bought only 10 day supply because i am on thyroxine medication and i don,t know yet if i am going to have any side effects.
If not, i will buy more and let everyone know my results.
      Thanks again and good luck.

  8. Jack says:

I struggled to find successful reviews on XLS Medical so I wanted to share how my experience is going so far. I’m only a week into taking them but so far I’ve lost 3lbs!
Admittedly I have quite a lot of weight to lose and I’ve made diet changes as well as trying to walk for half an hour a day. This means I can’t be 100% sure it’s the XLS that is helping the weight loss but I’m going to continue to take them and hopefully it continues.
I’ve been a little bit more windy than usual on these pills but no constipation or anything like that.

  9. kerry says:

Initially I was really impressed with these pills, I lost a little bit more weight in my first week taking them. Since then the weight loss has really slowed down and I think might have even stopped.
I’m not going to bother buying any more once I’ve ran out, I wouldn’t bother taking them if I were you.

  10. G Innman says:

I normally lose about 1 or 2 pounds a week when I’m dieting on my own. I’ve been taking xls medical for a week now and I’ve lost 4 pounds!! They’ve been a great help and I’m so glad I took the plunge and bought them.

  11. Nancy Parker says:

I had high hopes for these pills but I lost very little weight at all. I followed the instructions properly and did everything I could to get the weight off but it didn’t work. They’re over priced and over rated, I won’t be buying again.

  12. Olivia Wilde says:

So far so good with these pills! I’ve been taking them for a couple of weeks now alongside a high protein and high fibre diet. It’s all been working really well and I’ve lost weight each week so far. I wouldn’t recommend you take these without following a high fat diet because I think you’d experience some bad side effects.

  13. Abbie says:

I’ve given these pills two weeks to work, like a lot of people and reviews have said but nothing.
Should I keep going any longer? Is it worth it? At the moment I won’t be buying any more. I’ve lost virtually nothing even over a full two weeks taking them as instructed. Frustrating!!

    • Missy says:

Hi Abbie, I think it’s worth it if you give it a third and final week. when I took xls I found it quite slow to begin with but it did kind of pick up in the third week. I have to admit I gave up after the fourth week. Hope you see some improvement if you continue!

    • joanie says:

I would give it maybe one more week, possibly two. Sometimes these diet pills can be slow to start working, when I took them they took about three weeks to really start working. It was drastic weight loss from then but atleast it was something

  14. dani says:

I had an ok time taking xls. Only ok. I didn’t lose very much weight, to be honest I think I could have lost the same amount without them. On the other hand I didn’t experience any side effects and I did manage to lose some weight. Which is better than nothing.
I don’t think I’d take them again but they weren’t as bad as I’ve read some people saying.

  15. harriet says:

I feel this product is way overpriced for what it does.. I paid a lot of money and only saw very small weight loss so I’m quite disappointed with it. I’m guessing I probably could have lost the same amount of weight with proper dieting an exercise and I would have saved myself lots of money.

  16. Janice P says:

I’m pretty happy after taking XLS. I’ve been taking it for about 5 or 6 weeks and so far I’ve lost about 12lbs or slightly more. I’ve been eating slightly less but nothing major. I didn’t really get any side effects either, I probably got more headaches than I used to. I couple of moments of stomach pains but nothing major.
    Overall, very happy!

  17. martina says:

I’m not sure how I feel about xls medical fat binder. I’ve been taking them for about a month now and I’ve lost a little bit of weight, nothing dramatic but a little bit. The reason I’m not sure what to make of them is because I think for how expensive they are I’d expect more weight loss.
As for side effects they weren’t really major, I suffered from the odd headache but that’s about it really. Mixed feelings overall, not worth the money I don’t think.

  18. Elena says:

Hello everyone! I was interested in that product as it is popular tv ad. I am not into diet pills, exercise about 4 -5 times in a gym, try eat healthy. Sometimes, want to loose some weight to fit in clothes better. I am size 12-14, 32 years old female, 80 kg. sound a lot, but it’s muscles i hope:)
We all want to think that we can slim nicely down by taking a miracle pill. I had some desperate moments myself, but no pill can read your mind what place of your body you want to shrink or what part of your body you are happy with.
I know some people who seemed to loose their quirkiness by becoming skinny. It is important that you love yourself, the way you are, and people will except you and embrace it.
It is a serious risk of getting permanent health problems if you taking some of the slimming pills, regardless you lost your weight when you were taking them or not. I am not a doctor, but the internal organs must deal with something that interupt their normal function if you swallowed some diet pill, like fat binder. It is not sound right.
Please guys do not expect miracles when you taking diet pills. The word “diet” is from latin “way of life”. You see, even when i exercising, loosing 1 000 just on cardios i do not expect instant results, as the body must adapt about a month to that, altogether with eating healthy. I do not believe you can expect big positive weight loss in 5 days without any body damage, it’s laughable. You probably loosing your water, witch will make you feel dizzy and tired. Do not ruin your body, love yourself! Your body is a very complicated mechanism, respect that!

  19. Shirley says:

I have been taking xls for a week and have terrible constipation has any one else suffered this ??
